1. El Colacho, celebrated annually in the Spanish village of Castrillo de Murcia in conjunction with the Feast of Corpus Christi, sees men dressed as the Devil jump over whichever babies were born in the past year.
2. Inducted as a Disney Legend in 1996, X Atencio (1919-2017) was an Imagineer noted for his contributions to such Disney theme park attractions as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, and the Country Bear Jamboree. This includes penning the lyrics of "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)" and "Grim Grinning Ghosts."
3. X Atencio was the great-uncle of Peter Atencio (1983- ), who directed every episode of Key & Peele (2012-15) and also directed Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele in Keanu (2016). His other credits include Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2016-17) and our old friend Bert Kreischer's vehicle The Machine (2023).
